Umma Sumeria worked in our home for fifteen years. She was born in India, Calcutta and saw two Partitions, one in 1947 and then again in 1971 when Bangladesh was formed. She lost her husband and son in the 71 war and went on to raise three kids on her own. She also raised me with much love and took care of my grandmother. She retired many years ago and lives in Lahore. She comes to visit me every time I am there.
